Membership and Support:
We invite you to become a member of the Columbia Street Waterfront Association!
Your membership helps the CSWA to:
- Advocate for our neighborhood;
- Host neighborhood events and greening projects; and
- Educate our community on local, city, state, and federal projects that affect all our lives.
CSWA offers three types of membership:
- Individual Members whose principal place of residence lies within the geographic boundaries of the Association (see below) or who own property within these boundaries. Individual members must be over the age of eighteen (18).
- Business Members that operate a business within the geographical boundaries of the Association (see below) This does not include LLCs, but does include non-profits.
- Affiliate Members include anyone who wishes to join the Association and does not meet the requirements to be an Individual or Business Member as described above.
The Association’s boundaries are Atlantic Avenue to the north, the Brooklyn Queens Expressway to the east, Hamilton Avenue to the south, and the East River to the west.
Note: Individual and Business Members have the right to vote on matters brought before the general membership, including the election of officers.
Recommended Annual Donations:
- Individual Members: $25 per household
- Business Members: $100
- Affiliate Members: $25 per household or $100 for a business
Columbia Street Waterfront Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Our budgets are minimal and we rely on volunteers to make this work happen. Your membership and donations help us cover our expenses and offer neighborhood programs all year long.
The Association’s boundaries are Atlantic Avenue to the north, the Brooklyn Queens Expressway to the east, Hamilton Avenue to the south, and the East River to the west.
