The Brooklyn Marine Terminal project will have the most impact on our neighborhood since Robert Moses cut us off from the rest of Brooklyn with the BQE trench. Stay engaged to make sure that this time our voices are heard!

Committees & Working Groups

Find your place on a committee

CSWA needs you! Read about our Committees below, and sign up for one or more using the form.

Membership Committee

To develop and implement strategies for recruiting and retaining members, including following up with interested individuals and assembling a broad mailing list of potential members, to maintain accurate membership records, and to promote member engagement.

Communications Committee

Manage the Association’s website, social media presence, newsletters, and other communication channels, and to ensure effective communication with members, the public, and other stakeholders.

Environmental/Infrastructure Committee

Monitor and address environmental and infrastructure issues within the district, including resiliency, traffic safety, and related concerns, and to advocate for improvements.

Community Life Committee

Plan, organize, and execute community events and activities that foster a sense of community, further the Association’s goals, and promote community engagement.

Greening Committee

Develop and pursue ideas to improve, enhance, and create parks and open spaces within the community, and to address improvements to and safety/traffic issues related to existing open spaces and parks.

Family Committee

Advocates for community families on issues such as better access to child care and early child education.

Submit a neighborhood photo

  • Photos must be taken within the Columbia Waterfront District or immediate area
  • You must own the rights to the photo (no screenshots or stock photos)
  • No photos of minors without parental consent
  • CSWA reserves the right to decline any submission
