Membership and Support

We invite you to become a member of the Columbia Street Waterfront Association!

Your membership helps the CSWA to:

  • Advocate for our neighborhood;
  • Host neighborhood events and greening projects; and
  • Educate our community on local, city, state, and federal projects that affect all our lives.

Individual

$ 25 Recommended Annual Donation
  • Must be over the age of eighteen (18). Principal place of residence must lie within the geographic boundaries of the Association (see below). Or, individual must own property within these boundaries.
  • Has the right to vote on matters brought before the general membership, including the election of officers.

Business

$ 100 Recommended Annual Donation
  • Must operate a business within the geographical boundaries of the Association (see below) This does not include LLCs, but does include non-profits.
  • Has the right to vote on matters brought before the general membership, including the election of officers.

Affiliate

$ 25/100 $25 Household | $100 Business
  • Anyone who wishes to join the Association and does not meet the requirements to be an Individual or Business Member as described.
  • Does not have the right to vote on matters brought before the general membership, including the election of officers.

Our budgets are minimal and we rely on volunteers to make this work happen. Your membership and donations help us cover our expenses and offer neighborhood programs all year long.

Columbia Street Waterfront Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The Association’s boundaries are Atlantic Avenue to the north, the Brooklyn Queens Expressway to the east, Hamilton Avenue to the south, and the East River to the west.
